Resize PDF Pages help
Change the paper size of all or selected pages. Fit keeps the whole page inside your margins, Fill trims visible edges, and Stretch changes width and height separately. Text remains selectable and image data is not recompressed.
How to use Resize PDF Pages
- Choose a PDF and, if needed, enter the pages to resize.
- Select a paper size or enter a custom width and height in millimetres.
- Choose Fit, Fill or Stretch, orientation and margins, then select Resize PDF.
- Use Preview result to compare your pages before downloading.
Options explained
- Paper size
- A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal or custom dimensions. Orientation uses the short and long sides for portrait or landscape.
- Fit
- Keeps proportions and includes the whole visible page. Spare space becomes white margins.
- Fill
- Keeps proportions and fills the space inside your margins. Overflow is hidden, not securely deleted.
- Stretch
- Matches the available width and height independently. Letters and pictures can change shape.
- Pages
- Only selected pages change size. Other pages keep their original boxes, rotation and content.
Limits and supported files
Standard PDFs. XFA or switchable layers need a fixed copy; unsupported interactive appearances need Flatten PDF first.
Up to 128 MB input and output, with physical page dimensions up to 200 inches per side.
Up to 500 pages, with a two-minute deadline. Optional ranges preserve all unselected pages.
Current browsers with local workers. This tool is included in the initial offline cache.
Each PDF uses the same settings independently. Review results when source pages have different sizes.
Does resizing reduce image quality?
It changes how the existing content fits on paper. It does not re-encode or downsample images, replace fonts or rasterize the page.
Do bookmarks and links still work?
Local page destinations stay on the same pages. Destinations to resized pages fit the whole page rather than using old coordinates. Normal link areas are moved with the page.
Can I resize fillable forms or unusual comments?
Fillable fields on selected pages, rich media, shared comments and saved comment appearances on rotated pages need a Flatten PDF copy first. This avoids moving those items incorrectly.
Does Fill permanently remove the hidden edges?
No. Hidden content remains in the PDF. Use Redact PDF for confidential information.
What happens to passwords and signatures?
Files that open without a password are unlocked locally for editing; opening-password files need Unlock PDF first. A changed copy invalidates digital signatures and requires acknowledgement.
