PNG to PDF help

Make a PDF from PNG images such as screenshots, charts or saved scans. You can add JPG and WebP pictures too, put them in order and choose how they fit on the page.

How to use PNG to PDF

  1. Choose your PNG images, then arrange the page previews in the order you want.
  2. Set Paper size, Orientation, Image fit and Margin (mm). For screenshots, Original keeps each image’s own size.
  3. Select Create PDF and check the pages.
  4. Select Download and check that nothing was cut off at the edges.
Options explained
Paper size
Choose A4 or Letter for standard paper, or Original to follow the image dimensions.
Orientation
Use portrait for tall paper or landscape for wide layouts.
Image fit
Fit (whole image) keeps every edge; Fill (may crop) covers the available area and may cut off edges.
Margin (mm)
Leave space around each image, measured in millimetres.
File and page order
Arrange the images before exporting so the PDF pages follow the intended sequence.
Blank page size, Size unit, Blank page width and Blank page height
Choose a standard page size or custom dimensions in millimeters, inches or points.
Blank page background
Choose the color of a newly inserted blank page.
Insert position and Reference page
Place a blank page before or after an existing page.
Thumbnail size
Change preview size to inspect or arrange pages; it does not change output resolution.
Blank page orientation
Choose portrait or landscape for an inserted blank page. This does not rotate existing pages.
All, None, Odd, Even and Select range
Select a group of previews, or enter numbers such as 1,3,5-10 and click Select. Choose the image pages you want to rotate, duplicate, remove or move.
Rotate, Duplicate and Remove
Turn the selected image pages, repeat them, or leave them out of the PDF.
Move to page, First and Last
Place selected image pages at a numbered position or at either end of the document.
Undo and Redo
Reverse or restore changes to the image-page arrangement before creating the PDF.
Limits and supported files

JPG, PNG and WebP images. HEIC and TIFF are not supported.

Local tests used synthetic 10, 50, 100 and 200 MB PNG images. Chromium, Firefox and WebKit: completed 10, 50, 100, 200 MB.

Add up to 100 images at a time, 512 MB in total. Full-resolution photos need much more memory than small ones, so a large selection can fail on a phone.

JPG to PDF was tested on a 16 GB Mac with Chromium, Firefox and WebKit. “Did not complete” includes input limits, errors and test timeouts; try a smaller selection. These are observed examples, not guaranteed limits on your device. WebKit tests do not replace a check in Safari on your own device. The 90-second test window is not a hard limit; some jobs may need longer.

Questions

How do I convert PNG to PDF?

Choose your PNG files, put them in order, set Paper size and Image fit, then select Create PDF and Download. The images are turned into a PDF on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

Does PNG transparency survive in the PDF?

Transparent areas show the page colour behind them, which is usually white. Check logos and diagrams in the preview.

Can I combine several screenshots into one PDF?

Yes. Add all of them at once. Each image becomes its own page, in the order you set.

Will text in a screenshot be searchable after converting?

No. The PDF holds a picture of the text. Use OCR PDF afterwards if you need to find or copy the words.
