Questions
Why is my JPG smaller than the PNG?
JPG stores photos more compactly than PNG. For photos and scans the JPG is often several times smaller.
What happens to the transparent background of my PNG?
JPG cannot store see-through areas, so they become white. Use PNG or WebP if you need to keep them.
Will text in a PNG screenshot stay sharp as JPG?
It is saved at high quality, so text usually stays readable. Very small text can show slight blur around the letters.
Is my PNG uploaded to convert it to JPG?
No. Your browser converts it on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
