PowerPoint to PDF help
Open a PowerPoint presentation (.pptx), check the slides, and download a PDF with one page per slide. Text stays real, so you can select and search it. Shapes, pictures, tables and charts are drawn as they appear on the slide. Your file stays on this device.
How to use PowerPoint to PDF
- Select Choose files and pick your .pptx presentation.
- Scroll through the slide preview to check pictures, charts and text.
- Select Download PDF. Each slide becomes one PDF page at the slide's own size.
- Open the PDF to check it. Speaker notes and hidden slides are left out.
Options explained
- Slide preview
- Shows every slide in the fonts the PDF uses, so text lines break the same way.
- Saves one page per slide. Text is real and selectable; charts become sharp pictures.
- Add files
- Opens another .pptx file. It replaces the current presentation.
Limits and supported files
PowerPoint presentations saved as .pptx. Older .ppt files and password-protected presentations are not opened. Macros never run.
Up to 100 MB per file and 500 slides. The first time, the page downloads the slide renderer and the fonts your slides need.
One page per slide, at the slide's own size, such as 16:9 or 4:3.
Tested in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit on a Mac, at desktop and phone width. WebKit tests do not replace a check in Safari on your own phone.
One presentation at a time.
Questions
Will the PDF look like my slides in PowerPoint?
It is usually close. Calibri, Cambria, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New are swapped for free fonts with the same letter widths; other fonts get the nearest match, so some lines can break differently. Check the preview before you download.
Is the text in the PDF selectable?
Yes. Slide text is written as real text, so you can select, copy and search it. Charts are drawn as pictures inside the PDF.
Do Hindi, Tamil and other Indian-language slides work?
Yes. Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and Urdu are drawn with Noto fonts, with joined letters in the right order.
Can I convert .ppt files or password-protected presentations?
No. Open the file in PowerPoint, save it as .pptx without a password, then choose it here.
What is left out of the slide PDF?
Speaker notes, hidden slides, animations, transitions, videos and audio. Colour gradients are drawn as one colour, rotated text boxes may sit straight, and pictures linked from the web are not fetched.
Is my presentation uploaded?
No. Your browser opens the file, draws the slides and writes the PDF on this device. Nothing is uploaded. You can check it at /verify/.
