Questions

Why is the PNG bigger than my JPG?

PNG keeps every pixel exactly, while JPG saves space by simplifying detail. For photos, the PNG is usually larger.

Does converting to PNG make my JPG sharper?

No. The PNG keeps the JPG exactly as it looks now. It cannot bring back detail the JPG already lost.

Will converting to PNG give my photo a transparent background?

No. A JPG has no see-through areas, so the PNG has the same solid background.

Do my JPG photos leave this device when converted?

No. Conversion runs in your browser, and nothing is uploaded.
